Bryanna is a 4th year student and an RA in the Social Identity Lab. She’s been helping graduate student, Yingchi Guo, on her project on belonging. In their recent project, they’re investigating the effects of gender on belonging and how this can affect outcome variables like academic performance, in the context of the SAFE model. She is personally interested in exploring the role of culture; how culture creates phenomena and how culture interacts with bias. She is also interested in the role of truth in our lives in a world of ever-growing subjectivity: how do people create their own “objective truth” and what happens when we are without it?
