Christa Nater received her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Bern, Switzerland. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Toni Schmader’s Social Identity Lab in the Department of Psychology. Her research focuses on understanding mechanisms that contribute to persisting social inequalities, in particular stereotyping processes, gender biases in work settings, and (unintended) consequences of institutional diversity interventions. In exploring these issues, her research takes an interdisciplinary approach drawing from social psychological, organizational, and sociological perspectives.
