Audrey is a graduate student student at UBC. She received a B.A. in psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2016. Her research examines the effects of stereotyping and prejudice with a particular focus on women’s experiences in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Specifically, she is interested in understanding how gender biases shape social interactions between men and women in highly collaborative settings, and how the quality of these social interactions predicts success and retention. She is also interested in how one’s identification with a domain or social group can influence everyday experiences of authenticity.
